After arrival, trainees must register their address and obtain a CPR number. Bixter provides clear instructions and support throughout the registration process.
As a trainee or worker in Denmark, you can expect a standard 37-hour working week, which usually means around 8 hours per day excluding breaks. This is the official full-time norm in Denmark and is strictly regulated.
In terms of taxation, you should expect to pay approximately 24–30% in income tax, depending on your tax card and personal situation. Please note that for stays up to 90 days (about 3 months), different tax rules may apply, and in some cases lower or no tax can be charged.
Regarding vacation, you are entitled to 4 weeks of paid holiday. Denmark has strong employee protection laws, and work-life balance is an important part of the culture, so taking time off is fully supported.
Your salary/allowance will be from approximately €13 per hour before taxes. The final net amount you receive will depend on your tax rate and deductions.
