Some programs are designed for currently enrolled students who want to gain practical experience related to their studies. Others are intended for graduates and qualified professionals.

Your eligibility depends on the specific program, destination country, educational background, and immigration requirements.

Most Bixter programs generally require at least B1-level English, although requirements vary by sector and destination country.

Your communication skills are assessed during the selection process, and some programs may require an officially recognized language certificate.

For certain positions, knowledge of German or another local language may also be required.

Education requirements depend on whether you apply for a job, a traineeship program, as well as the destination country.

If you are a non-EU candidate, your educational background must be relevant to the program you choose.

For example:

• Livestock programs: Animal Science, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, or related agricultural studies.
• Horticulture programs: Horticulture, Plant Science, Agronomy, or related studies.
• Food processing programs: Food Technology, Food Science, or related education.
• Hospitality programs: Culinary Arts, Bakery, or related studies.

Some programs require current enrollment at an accredited institution, while others accept completed qualifications.

If you are an EU citizen, different eligibility requirements may apply depending on the program and destination country.

Bixter supports visa and work permit applications for selected placements in certain countries, primarily Germany. Support depends on the program, employer and your eligibility.

Visas and work permits are issued by the relevant authorities. Bixter cannot issue them or guarantee approval.

Bixter currently does not support visa sponsorship for employment placements in Denmark. Agricultural internships and student programs have separate eligibility and permit requirements.

Yes. Bixter arranges accommodation for most placements, usually through the host company.

Accommodation is generally provided for a monthly fee, which varies depending on the destination country and program.

Before accepting a placement, you will receive clear information about the accommodation arrangements, living conditions, and any associated costs.

You should prepare the following documents before applying:

• Updated CV with a photo
• Degree certificate or official enrollment letter stating your graduation or expected graduation date.
• Educational transcript.
• Valid passport copy.
• Driver’s license copy (if you have it)
• Language certificate, if required for your program.
• Recommendation letters, if required for your program.
• Short self-introduction video of up to two minutes.

Additional documents may be requested depending on the position and country.

Bixter’s service fee usually ranges from €650 to €1,000, depending on the destination country, program or placement type and duration.
